I'd like to know what people are using for point(power) level for 'normal folk' NPC types for 4th edition.

Re: Norms for 4th
Wed, January 11, 2006 - 7:46 AMI have only just begun reading the 4th ed books... I am still running using my 3rd ed matierals, but from what I gather the point spreads are about the same. If you used 100pt characters in 3rd you will use 100pt characters in 4th.

Re: Norms for 4th
Wed, January 11, 2006 - 10:02 AMI think it depends on your campaign. Generally, 25-50 points will give you a reasonable NPC with okay skill levels. -

Re: Norms for 4th
Fri, January 13, 2006 - 11:27 PMFor third ed, I was using 50 points.
I do not find the point spread to be the same, perhaps it is a lack of familiarity (even though it works nearly the same), but a 100 point 3rd ed can kick some but, or whatever they were designed to do, way harder than a 4th ed character can.
Anyone else finding this?

. I think The Rev has it right @25-50 pts for a 'norm'. With 'standard' advenurer (whatever that means) at 150, 'norms' should be a breeze in small doses, but a well co-ordinated attck from 'norms' can still neutralize higher point characters.
