&lt;br/&gt;.  I have looked at Psionics in multiple systems, and for some reason it always seems more convoluted, or more obscure, to me than magic.
&lt;br/&gt;.
&lt;br/&gt;.  I am looking for anyone that can familiarize me with the way it works, somehow the text in the books is refusing to imprint on my brain.
&lt;br/&gt;.

&lt;br/&gt;Last time I played was 1989 --- and I still fondly remember when I translated a D&amp;amp;D character to GURPS to play a scenario where the party went Smurf hunting.

    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;So, after getting totally addicted to Steve Erikson's Malazan Books of the Fallen, I was really happy to read that this was originally a d20 and then a GURPS world that he invented with a friend of his.. Since then, another friend of mine and I have set upon reworking the world with our own twists, figuring out the Magic system to be something more like Mage:the Awakening (one thing I REALLY dont like about GURPS is the magic system, with the prerequisites)
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;anywhoo, anyone else interested in this conversion, we will be posting our conversion in here in a month or so..
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;So, with that out of the way, what are your favourite settings and TL's?
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Apart from the Mazalan world, i really like the Desert Storm setting, and also playing with 1500-1600 point super epic characters in a save the universe world.  It can be really fun to push the cinematic setting to the edge.&lt;/div&gt;

    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;I've been using 4thed for about eight months now.
&lt;br/&gt;Over all I love the system as much as third.
&lt;br/&gt;I'm not sure I agree with dodging bullets, I've kept Hit Location (H) as a technique and find characters made with 100pnt in this system weaker than third though once you hit the 200pnt range it seems to swing the other way.
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Anyone have thoughts on this or other obsevations?&lt;/div&gt;
